Dining Room Solid Wood Flooring

Dining rooms are commonly used for many different purposes.  Initially intended for (relatively) formal dining, dining rooms today often find themselves doubling up as home offices or spaces where the kids do their homework, so when it comes to choosing solid wood flooring for your dining room, there are plenty of things to take into consideration.

First and foremost, it’s important to decide on the colour of flooring that might work best in your room.  Thereafter it’s a question of which species will provide you with the colour range you’re after.  Once you have that shortlist made, you then need to think about things like the grade, the finish and the width of boards that would work.  So as you can see there are plenty of things to consider when choosing solid wood flooring for your dining room.

All of that said, there is a whole host of choices and, unless you have under floor heating (with which solid wood flooring isn’t normally recommended), you’ll be truly spoilt for choice.
