Engineered Flooring

Prime Grade Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered wood flooring is made up of a solid oak lamella or top layer, which is bonded to a plywood base. Because of its solid oak top layer, engineered wood flooring looks just like the real thing. Engineered wood flooring boasts three main advantages over solid wood. The first is its stability.

Engineered wood flooring offers a highly stable flooring solution with minimal shrinkage or expansion. Second, it offers real flexibility in its fixing method and third, it can normally be fitted over under floor heating.

Prime grade engineered wood flooring is probably the closest you’ll get to AB grade solid oak flooring. Although any natural wood product will have knots as part of its nature, engineered prime grade wood flooring normally only has small knots (of less than 5mm in diameter). So, if you’re looking for a floor which is uniform in colour and pretty much knot and burr-free, then engineered prime grade wood flooring could be your best choice. Available in various finishes; engineered prime grade wood flooring is reasonably rare and offers a really high quality flooring solution.

Enhancing modern and traditional interiors alike, the overall look achieved by the introduction of prime grade engineered wood flooring is a clean and unfussy style which allows the natural beauty of the timber to shine through to the max.
