Introducing White Floorboards in Milan and Double White Styles

White floorboards are big news. In fact, I think it’s safe to say that never before have we seen such an exciting time for anyone looking for a white floor. If you’re reading this and haven’t really considered white floor before and you’re wondering what the big deal is all about, read on.

Many years ago if you’d said to someone that you wanted a white wood floor, they’d have taken a paint-brush out along with a tin of white paint and that would have been that. Today white floors come in everything from blindingly bright white to natural shades with just the odd hint of white. There truly is something for everyone.

We’ve created this blog post to introduce two really special white ranges and to walk you around the choices available within these ranges. It’s not to try to sell you a white floor. Not by any stretch of the imagination. What we want to do here is to show you something that you mightn’t necessarily seek out, but something that might catch your eye nonetheless. We want to show you something that could take your room, or indeed your whole house or apartment to a whole new level.

The first range is called Milan

Meet Milan

This is Milan. Even the name exudes excitement and charm. Every floor in this whole range oozes the same style and delight that you associate with that magical Italian city. We currently have 4 options in this range that we believe offers something for everyone who fancies a white floor.

Firstly, there’s this select engineered oak option that’s click system. As you can see from the image, this floor is white, but it’s not too white. What that means is that it’s guaranteed to add light and space to even the gloomiest of rooms, but it will never dominate. A very light backdrop to any style you choose, this floor is as adaptable as it is affordable. At only a tad over £40 a square metre, this solution works throughout the whole home and promises a really natural, characterful feel no matter where you choose to lay it.

Then you have this natural grade solution. Once again it’s click system. This one’s slightly less blatantly white and is perfect for anyone who loves that natural oak look, but wants a modern twist. Reminiscent of scrubbed French farmhouse kitchen tables, this floor is guaranteed to get attention from anyone who visits your home. The chunky knots and colour variation isn’t just charming, it really does make you want to reach out and touch the floor. With its brushed and UV oiled finish, this one’s perfect if you’re someone who likes to keep things natural-looking but want an edge at the same time.

Another click system floor, but this time prime grade, brushed and UV oiled, this floor is a whole lot lighter and a whole lot more regular in its grain than the others. It’s perfectly suited to a modern, clean room setting where there are either a host of neutral shades or a combination of whites and off whites, or monochromes with splashes of colour. Being prime grade, the oak you get here really is top of the range, but comes at a surprisingly appealing price.

And finally, there’s this stunning prime engineered herringbone oak, which really does make heads turn. If you’re not familiar with herringbone flooring, this one might surprise you. A parquet flooring style that’s been used for centuries across Europe in stately homes and castles, this floor is guaranteed to elevate your home to a new level. Again a light and bright option, this is ideal for use throughout the home, but works particularly well in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, halls and kitchens.

The second range is Double White

Meet Double White

This is double white. The name Double White gives a real clue as to what makes this floor so special. Yes, it’s twice as white as many other white floors. With a really traditional, whitewashed look, it is a stunningly beautiful, brilliant white yet at the same time it lets all the character and charm of the natural wood cleverly shine through. Both of the floors in this range work perfectly throughout the home and they are both click system, so they’re a complete walk in the park to install. What’s more, they are UV lacquered so will stand up to whatever your life chooses to throw at them.

Many people worry that a white floor will be high maintenance, but ask any of our customers who’ve taken the plunge and opted for all-out white and they’ll soon tell you those fears aren’t justified. With just a quick vacuum and a light mopping on a regular basis, your white floor will look great for a very, very long time.

If you’re looking for a floor with a difference, both of these ranges are likely to appeal. Why not take a few minutes to have a really good look? And needless to say, it would be great to hear from you if you have any questions or queries.
