#2 Grey and grey stained wood flooring

You could be forgiven for thinking that grey wood flooring might look a bit odd. But if you think this way, today’s the day to think again. Grey really is the new black, the new white and the new blonde when it comes to contemporary wood flooring trends. The likes of this grey UV oiled natural engineered wood flooring option will show you how versatile grey wood flooring can be. This sort of grey flooring could quite easily be mixed with a monochrome interior or used to compliment muted natural tones perfectly. So if you haven’t considered grey before, take a minute or two to browse our grey range.

#3 Blonde wood flooring

Blonde wood flooring in many ways is a classic, but when you add in a wide board feature, click fitting system and a nice oiled finish, it takes on a truly contemporary twist and makes your life so very easy. This select engineered oak click brushed white UV oiled flooring is a great example of how great blonde flooring can look and how it can be used anywhere in the home.

#4 Black and almost black

Black flooring is one contemporary wood flooring trend that you’ll have seen plenty of. Quite a bold choice, it’s not for everyone, but if you’re careful with your choice of black or almost black flooring it needn’t be scary. No matter whether you plump for the likes of this jet black option or go more cautiously and opt for this black tea stained choice, you can rest assured that it won’t go out of fashion.

#5 Black and white combos

Mixing black and white flooring takes some thought but can work really well. As you can see in the image here, just a little bit of thought and planning can give you a truly stunning result at no extra cost. So it’s well worth getting creative!

#6 Wide boards

Lots of people shy away from wide boards because they worry that their home is too small to support a wide board. Again, if you’re thinking this way, we’d encourage you to think again. Using wide boards creatively is a great way to make narrow rooms seem wider and short rooms seem longer as well as being a really hot contemporary wood flooring trend. If you need advice on how you could perhaps use wide boards in your home, all you need to do is get in touch.

#7 Dark walnut

Dark walnut flooring is bang on trend and yet is ignored by lots of people because they think it’ll be above and beyond their budget. When you buy at Wood and Beyond this needn’t be the case. We have dark walnut flooring currently on offer at just over £35 per square meter. Granted, some of the premium products Recommended Retail Price is over £150, but even those are currently being offered on our site at just over £75. #8 Engineered wood flooring

In this day and age, engineered wood flooring is always part of the contemporary wood flooring trend. A true breakthrough in flooring possibilities, we believe that engineered wood flooring will never be out of fashion.

#9 Prefinished wood flooring

Likewise with prefinished wood flooring, we believe that getting your flooring delivered with its finish already in place is a luxury that will never be off-trend.

#10 Reclaimed wood flooring

Reclaimed wood flooring has been on-trend for quite some time now, and there really is no sign of it disappearing. While the purists still like to wait what can seem like a lifetime to source a genuinely old floor from a renovation or a demolition, most of us are happy to accept a product that looks the part and can be delivered to us straight away. And what’s more, the techniques used now to make new flooring look old are so very convincing, even the purists would struggle to sniff them out!
