Oak worktops to work well with neutral shades?

Posted on 15th Mar 2011 @ 4:30 PM

People may want to jazz up a neutral-themed kitchen with some oak worktops.

For those who are worried about too many creams ruining a room, the Independent has some advice.

"Even whites can be relaxed, warm and welcoming ... and remember that any room devoid of texture will feel hard and cold," the news provider commented.

One way homeowners could look to get the balance right is to look at their kitchen worktops.

Teaming the natural colours with oak worktops could work a treat and make sure a person's kitchen has that little bit extra.

It comes after Helen Green, author of the Terry's Fabrics interior design blog, said sharp angles and crisp lines should be used by those who want to decorate this space.
