Hardwood decking could help to sell a home

Posted on 11th Apr 2011 @ 4:56 PM

People looking to sell a property need to make sure the hardwood decking is in as good a condition as possible.

Julian Knight and Chiara Cavaglieri, writing in the Independent, noted the exterior of a home should never be neglected when trying to get an asking price for a house.

For many, decking represents the heart of a backyard and so special care should be taken to preserve it.

The space can be used to entertain guests, or for families to sit back and enjoy good weather in privacy.

Real wood is often seen as the best choice when it comes to the surface and those who do install the material will no longer have to worry about weeds.

Home improvement expert George Clarke noted: "Every single home - and type of home - in the UK has potential."

With this in mind, householders may choose to take good care of decking to allow it to keep it in tip-top shape.
