Engineered flooring may add 'lived-in' feeling

Posted on 16th Mar 2011 @ 2:55 PM

A house is for living in, one expert has claimed, which may see some install engineered flooring in their homes.

Anita Kaushal has said it is time for individuals to realise their homes are much more than "money machines" and time should be spent making them look nice.

"People are now being much choosier and thinking more about what [they] want," she added.

As more attention is given to the decoration of a dwelling, one option that could interest folk is a wooden floor.

If engineered flooring is selected, then it may add an extra bit of vibrancy to a room, while it offers easy maintenance and durability.

Ms Kaushal said it is good to see people are now spending more time focusing on their abodes in terms of themselves and not what potential buyers may think.

Earlier this week, the Ottawa Citizen stated engineered flooring will not be as badly affected as hardwood in cold temperatures.
