Engineered flooring best option for underground heating

Posted on 23rd Mar 2011 @ 1:00 PM

Engineered flooring is the best choice of product to use with underground heating.

This is due to the fact it lets heat into a room better than all of the alternatives, according to Cision Wire.

It added this type of flooring - which is composed of two or more layers of wood in the form of a plank - is stronger and therefore is more stable then options such as oak, which could expand more once the temperatures increase.

A number of experts have added when laying a product on a surface that has underground heating, the process has to be carried out in a slightly different manner.

"You will need to use much more thin flooring underlay, as this will help to allow the heat to circulate properly, as well as to create an even surface," the news provider observed.

On top of this, individuals can expect the floor to be less noisy thanks to the underlay.
