Gents who are able to install solid flooring and carry out other tasks around the home may find they impress Australian women more than men with royal blood do.
According to a survey carried out by the Australian Woman's Weekly, skills such as being able to fit hardwood flooring make tradesmen more desirable than royalty, sports stars and other affluent individuals.
Helen McCabe, editor-in-chief of the magazine, said that the results are not all that shocking, as Australian women are particularly laid back.
"I think it's a very Australian result. Australian women are very down to earth and that's reflected in this result," she added.
Jason Orme, editor at Homebuilding and Renovating magazine, stated that people should not be scared of the thought of carrying out wooden floor resanding and other DIY tasks, as many are relatively straightforward.
