An increasing number of people may soon opt for a wooden floor in their bathroom, following the comments of one expert.
Cheryl Gurner, creative director of Bathrooms International, noted wood is making a comeback with regards to deployment in washrooms - but this time it is being used with a modern twist.
The specialist explained this trend is allowing more traditional leanings to come to the fore.
She expressed her love for panelling and wooden vanities and noted a Bostonian Beach House effect can look "wonderful" against sleek taps and modern cross head faucets.
"Dark and mysterious timbers running floor to ceiling and coupled with sleek chrome brassware keeps the contemporary faction happy," Ms Gurner added.
Earlier in the month, chief marketing officer at Holloway House Steven Eck explained that cleaning a wood-based floor has never been easier - thanks in the most part to developments made with regards to surface finishes.
